CARDIAC ULTRASOUND

For structural abnormalities

Also called Echocardiography, this is a painless exam which allows us to measure the contraction of your heart muscle.  We can also determine if the valves are not opening or closing well.  More specialised versions of this test can show the heart in 3-D, detect small holes in the walls separating the chambers and see how the heart performs under stress.
